New Years Goals

12/31/2015

Can you guys believe it's NYE again?! I honestly feel like 2015 was a whirlwind! It flew by. Our precious babe who was so tiny and new this time last year is now in 24m clothing and weighs almost 30lbs! I just can't believe it! 2015 was a good year for us. This last year has been one of the best years of my life because of our precious son. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing his smiling face every single day. 2015 has also brought lots of new opportunities. Instead of making resolutions this year I'm going to list my "goals" instead. The word R E S O L U T I O N screams let down to me and I want to start this year off on a positive note!

-Be a better Christian: putting God first is something I've struggled with since becoming a mom. As bad as it is to say I don't make "time" for God like I should. I want to pray a LOT more, read my bible daily, and memorize at least one new scripture weekly. I would also love to find a church we call home. Having a relationship with God and setting a Christ like example is the most important thing I can do here on this earth. I know that by putting God first in my life all of my other dreams and goals will fall perfectly in place.

-Be a better wife: Since I've been a mama I've put my husband's needs to the side in a way. I get so wrapped up in the daily mommy routine that I forget that I was a wife before I was a mother. My husband should always be my number one {aside from God.} Mommy life can be exhausting and sometimes I take my hubby for granted. I want to change every aspect of that and put him first. He's loved and supported me SO much this past year and I need to step up my wifey game.

-Organize/clean daily: I'm a horrible multi-tasker & procrastinator. When I'm home during the day with Liam I put all my effort and attention into him. I tend to put the cleaning and house on the back burner during the day. I always tell myself, "I'll do that later" and to be honest, "later" hardly ever comes. I've made myself a daily chore/cleaning list that I hope to stick to and follow! I think having things written out will help hold me more accountable!

-Change my lifestyle: this goal is rather broad but I just want to change who I am as a hole. I want to be a better version of myself. I want to change my eating habits, exercise daily, drink more water, show more kindness and love MORE.

-Build my business: 2015 was an excellent year for my photography business but I want this year to be even better! I'm going to be apart of the Dayton Bridal Expo this February and I couldn't be more excited! I'm also taking online courses to get certified in different areas. My photography business has helped our family in SO many ways! It has given me the opportunity to stay at home with Liam and not ever have to leave him {except with daddy/family.} It has also given us extra income and some great new friends! My goal is to have at least 15-20 weddings of my own this year! It's a big goal but I'm going to try everything in my power to make it happen!

Last but not least...

-Live in the moment: I get SO caught up in planning/dreaming of the future that I forget to live for the today. Tomorrow isn't promised. I want to cherish every single second of this amazing life I've been blessed with. I want to soak up every slobbery kiss, every sleepless night, every struggle, every hard time, every "I love you babe," every happy moment. I want to live everyday as If I could die tomorrow. I want to be completely content with the now and work hard to accomplish my dreams along the way!

I hope 2016 is a great year for everyone! Make it the best yet! Happy NEW YEAR friends!

Ps- how adorable are these NYE confetti poppers from Posh & Sparkle! She makes one for every special occasion!
