Honesty

2/15/2013

A few weeks ago I got a pretty rude comment regarding my blog content "fake-ness." The anonymous critic claimed that I only blog about the positives in my life and fail to share the negatives. After doing some reflecting I came to the conclusion that he/she was correct.

Correct in the aspect that I am overwhelmed with positive thoughts. I spend my days searching for the good and ridding myself and running from all negativity.

Seriously, who in their right mind would want to sit and read a blog filled with negativity and sob stories? Not me.

If I'm being 100% honest, I truly have very little negative happenings in my life right now and for that, I am extremely grateful.

Do I have struggles? Sure, who doesn't? But I'm not the type of person who likes to sit and dwell on the hard times. I'm the type of person who likes to pick up the pieces and MOVE on. Pity parties get you absolutely NO WHERE in life.

So with all that said, I'm sorry that my REALness offends you.

Moving on.

To all my blog friends, I just want to apologize AGAIN for my lack of commitment.

My life has been CRAZY busy. But a good busy...

My Mary Kay business is seriously taking flight! I had my debut party Sunday and had a $1000 night in sales. Plus I sold an additional $200 and got my first team member this week! So that alone is taking a TON of my time but I can't complain!

Next week I will be back with all of the delayed promises! Thank you all for continuing to follow along and support my blog! :)

PS- Wifestyles is getting it's own domain name too!  :) :) :)

  1. I could not agree with you more. I hateeee negative people. There are times I write about bad/sad things that happen to me, but those are far and few between. This anonymous critic must be FULL of negativity that they won't even let you enjoy your own blog space to write about positive things!

  2. Don't let negative comments bring you down! You're right, who would read a blog about someone's sob stories? Certainly not me. This is my white-girl-gangsta side coming out: "Haters gonna hate!" Have a fabulous weekend.

  3. I think you should show emotion in your blog, but it doesn't have to be negative. Whoever wrote that comment A) doesn't have a life and B) needs a life. Why waste your time reading something that you don't like? some people are CRAZY!

  7. I have never understood why people follow blogs to just spread hate and negativity? I think people who post mean/rude comments as anon are just full of jealously and lead negative lives themselves. I remember you posting about being sad when you lost your nannying job to those kids you loved, losing your grandmother, and when you shared with us about your hubby having a hard time about not finding his dream job as a police officer. We all have our moments of sadness, but like you said you are a positive person so why dwell on the negative? Keep doing your thing girl! There is a reason you have the amount of followers reading your blog!! :)

  8. I love how the people who always have nasty things to say are the "anonymous" commenters lol They can sure dish it out but can't face it! I agree its YOUR blog and if you are doing well, why not spread the positivity!? And even if you weren't, thats up to you how much you want to share and HOW you share it. I don't see why people even feel the need to leave a comment like that, if you want to read something "negative" than go elsewhere!

  12. I mean seriously, why would anyone want to read a blog about someone's compliants? I know everyone has their day to day stuff, but I'd much rather read about clothes, hair, home decor, etc! :-) I use blog reading to not think about work, stresses, so forth.
