I am finally getting around to doing our house tour! I know you guys have been asking to see pictures for awhile now and I'm just now getting around to it! So sorry for your wait!
Justin and I bought our house in September of 2010. At first I was very hesitant because I honestly didn't see the "full potential." All I saw was dollar signs and a LOT of work! However, I'm a very trusting person, especially when it comes to trusting Justin. He told me to pick out two things I liked about the house and he would fix the rest... and that he did! He is such a hard worker and he fixed our entire house mainly by himself! We did have help from our wonderful families and we hired out a few jobs but other than that it was ALL him! He did exactly what he said he was going to do and then some! I never expected our home to be what it is today!
I remember the night we got our keys like it was yesterday! We went straight to the house and I started snapping away! I couldn't wait to post before pictures of our home so everyone would be shocked when they saw the "after."
Today I am absolutely in love with our little home! It is honestly the best decision Justin and I have ever made! We bought it for DIRT cheap and now it's worth 6 times what we got it for! It's seriously amazing how much a little work can change something so much!
With Justin doing almost everything on his own our renovations have cost very little since we didn't have to pay for labor! Plus my dad knows every Tom, Dick and Harry and was able to help get materials super cheap!
We paid $17,500 for our house {foreclosed} and we put a total of $8,500 into renovations which equals a total of $26,000 for our home.
We recently got our house reappraised and it's now worth $90,000 with our upgrades and renovations! So we made a $64,000 profit off our home! :)
So far our house has had the following replaced:
-New drywall/ceilings in every room
-New electric installed throughout the entire house
-New insulation
-New carpet, hardwood and tile flooring
-New pluming
-New baseboards and trim
-New counter tops and sink
-New light fixtures and ceiling fans in every room
-New front door
-New furniture and appliances
Okay, I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking! This is just part 1 {our living/dining room} the rest of the house tour will continue later!
Please let me know what you think! I'm happy to answer any questions you might have!

Shut the front door. $17,500 for a HOUSE? My goodness. In my area, which is a suburb about 30 minutes outside of Vancouver, lots (read: just dirt, no buildings) go for a minimum of $500,000. I think we need to move!

We found one but they wanted extremely too much for it and it needed a lotttttt of work.
