Our Mini Vaca!

Before I tell you all about our amazing trip to Hocking Hills I want to start off by apologizing. I received a couple emails and "anonymous" comments that made me realize some things. I know I haven't been blogging like usual and for that I apologize. Sometimes life and things just get in the way. It's not that I don't want to blog or choose not to, sometimes life just becomes overwhelming and busy and as much as I love blogging and the blogging community it's not my number one priority. Also, I'm going to try to start responding to more of your comments and try to comment on your blogs more frequently. I was asked if I was "to big of a blogger" to reply back to questions and comments and that's absolutely not the case. I can however NOT respond back to anonymous questions through email, so if you have a question for me please make yourself known. I think that is all... now on to the recap! :)

Hocking Hills was a wonderful getaway from reality and the real world. A much needed, little break! Not only that, it was also beyond peaceful and relaxing! We arrived to our secluded cabin around 4pm on a Wednesday! The cabin was probably the cutest things I have ever seen! It was like a little doll house cabin! Everything was perfect and just the right size for a couple. They even had fresh flowers waiting on the table for us!

Since it was only 4pm we decided to head down to Lake Logan and spend the afternoon on the water! It was perfect! A pontoon boat also came with our package so we took that out on the lake and listened to music and jumped off the boat a time or two! I even drove! :) It was the most relaxing day and the sky was beautiful!

When we got back to our cabin we had pizza, snacks, drinks and dessert waiting for us {thanks to our awesome package deal!} We had a romantic dinner for two! After dinner I couldn't wait a second longer, the hot tub had been calling my name! We watched the sunset from the hot tub and spent most of the night in there! Before bed we watched Safe House and fell asleep in our cute, little bedroom! It was such a romantic and relaxing night!

We woke up extra early for breakfast {they provided} and a morning full of zip lining and archery! Zip lining was so much fun but I was absolutely horrible at archery! I missed every one of the targets! Justin on the other hand, of course was a pro!

On the way home Justin decided to surprise me and tell me he was going to make a pit stop on the way home and go surprise my grandma who lives in Kentucky! I was SO excited! I haven't seen her since May and I just knew that would mean the world to her! When we finally arrived to her house I called her on the phone to tell her all about our trip and then I snuck up and knocked on her door. She said, "hang on a second Lauren, someone is at the door!" I had Justin stand in front of me and as soon as she saw him she got the biggest grin on her face and still had NO clue and said, "Lauren! It's Justin, what is he doing here!?!" It was priceless! The best surprise EVER! She was so excited that we got to stop by and visit! We took her out to lunch and visited some of my relatives down there that I haven't seen since the wedding and then we headed home!

It was the perfect getaway and Justin loved it! I'm so glad I decided to plan a trip for his birthday!
I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking! :)
