Memorial Day Weekend

How was everyone's Memorial Day weekend?! Mine was seriously a BLAST! Justin and I started off the weekend early Saturday morning! We decided to go on an all day canoe trip! Canoeing has and always will be our "thing" we go every single year, multiple times during the Summer! It's so relaxing {for me anyways, I don't paddle ha} and peaceful! Along the way there are 3 rope swings and ledges you can jump off of! We usually do all 3!

On Sunday we went to my aunt and uncle's for our traditional Memorial Day cookout/pool party! I ended up bringing/making mini strawberry shortcakes with whip cream and fresh fruit! It was an all day party with SO much food and lots of pool time! :) Memorial Day to me is the "official" start to Summer! We had such a great time spending the day with my family and a few of our closest friends!

It was such a great weekend! I'm so, so, so thankful for the sacrifice that was made by all the brave men and women out there! They fight and give their lives so we can live free and have weekends like this. They really don't get the credit they deserve. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend as well! I can't wait to read all of your recaps! :)
