Right On Track! {Planning Update!}

5/14/2011

Hi followers! How's everyone's weekend so far? Mine is going great! I checked my wedding checklist {on theknot.com} today and it looks like I'm right on track with all the 'to do's' {which is a very good thing, considering I thought I was behind.} This coming week is going to be so busy for us, but SO exciting! We have a meeting with our church coordinator on Wednesday to go over the rundown of the ceremony schedule, Thursday we have another premarital counseling session with our minister and Saturday is my first BRIDAL SHOWER!!! :) Talk about an exciting week! I don't think I could be happier! :) {I'm having two showers because both our families are rather large and we can't fit everyone all in the same location!} My first shower is kitchen themed! I can't wait to see what Justin's aunt has planned! {She's great!} AH! {Sorry I could ramble on about my excitement all day!} Anyways, we have another meeting with our reception coordinator on the 26th to finalize table decorations and our menu! I still need to set up another appointment with our florist and DJ and shop for bridesmaid gifts too! Does anyone have any good flower recommendations? I still need to finalize centerpieces along with mine and all my bridesmaids bouquets! Our DJ company lets us go online and select our songs that we want played all night! Any good requests...? I want to have an awesome play list! I've been shopping on theknot for all my bridesmaids gifts! They have the cutest stuff! What did you guys get your bridesmaids? Another thing, {last thing, I think}... I'm really considering wearing a cathedral veil! What do you guys think of them? I love how elegant they look! I just hope I can pull one off!

Sorry, I know I rambled this entire post! {I just wanted to share a little bit of my planning and excitement with you guys!} :)

Oh one last thing, {I swear!} before I post my pictures below... has anyone read the book The 5 Love Languages? I started reading it and I can't put it down! {off topic, I know!} It's so GOOD! It's a must READ!

Okay, thanks for listening!

Bouquet 1?

  1. I love the cathedral veils and I struggled between wanting one or even getting a blusher, but I ended up wanting to go a little more simple and just got a plain just above the finger tips veil!!!

  2. So much beauty in one little post!! :-) Cathedral veils are stunning!! If you love it I say go with it :-)

    I *love* The 5 Love Languages- great book! And speaking of languages.. if your looking for flowers have you thought about picking some that have a sentimental meaning? That helped me decide what I wanted where because I was overwhelmed with all the choices. You can google "the language of flowers" or "kate middleton's bouquet" for some ideas of what I mean.
